Lady Cards Upend Red Raiders In Volleyball

RANDOLPH - McKenna Maycock had another top-flight performance as Randolph (11-1, 14-4) swept Jamestown High School (3-9, 3-11), 25-10, 25-15, 25-22 in non-league girls volleyball Thursday night.

Maycock had 14 kills and eight aces; Mandy Finch six aces, three kills and four digs; Alexis Terrette 12 assists and two aces; and Kayleane Chase three aces and three blocks for the winners.

For Jamestown, Katylin Haines recorded six aces, two kills and four digs; Jessica Pace two kills, six aces, four digs and three blocks; and Ashley Butman two kills and five digs.

Randolph took the junior varsity match.

HORNETS RALLY

CATTARAUGUS - Forestville (8-2, 13-2) rallied from a two-game deficit to defeat Cattaraugus-Little Valley (9-3, 10-7), 24-26, 26-28, 25-18, 25-22, 25-18.

Ryanne Dugan delivered 39 assists, four aces and 13 digs; Cherish Pope 15 kills and 13 digs; Sydney Youngberg 12 kills and five blocks; Jessica Makuch nine kills and two blocks; and Emily Gilmamn seven kills and two blocks.

Shelly Bach connected for 20 kills and four blocks, Kaitlyn Nye 43 assists, Raychel Larkin 88 kills, four aces and 21 digs, and Jessica Pritchard 10 kills and 13 digs in the loss.

Cattaraugus-Little Valley won the junior varsity match.

LAPORTE LEADS WAY

WESTFIELD - Jen LaPorte had 11 assists and three aces and Hillary Nelson 10 kills and five aces as Westfield downed Ripley in four games.

Andrea Cooke had three kills, two blocks and three aces in the win.
