Eleanor B. Marlinski, 87, of 218 Winchester Road in Lakewood, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at the home of her daughter in Surfside Beach, S.C.
She was born Jan. 10, 1925, in Buffalo, N.Y, the daughter of the late Andrew and Stella Pawlak, and graduated from Kensington High School.
Eleanor had been an area resident for 14 years and at-tended Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Surviving are six children: James, Thomas and Patrick Marlinski, all of Lakewood, N.Y., Donna Miller and Robert Marlinski, both of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Paul Marlinski of Jamestown; 11 grandchildren: Chantal Cardinal of Burlington, Vt., Katie Paladino and Andrew Marlinski of Buffalo, Maureen Cole, Ashley Miller and Alyssa Miller of Myrtle Beach, Justin Miller of Philadelphia, Pa., Amy Marlinski of Mayville, N.Y., Kelly Marlinski of Ashville, N.Y., Kara Marlinski of Rochester, N.Y. and Rob Marlinski of Ashville, N.Y.; and two great-grandchildren: Kyleigh Marlinski of May-ville and Avery Cardinal of Burlington.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard R. Marlinski, whom she married in 1944 and who died in 1988.
A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lakewood. The Rev. Msgr. Joseph M. Dowdell will be celebrant. Inurnment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Buffalo.
