Chautauqua County Town And Village Elections Set For Nov. 6

The general election will be held Tuesday, Nov. 6. Polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 9 p.m.

The following races wil appear on ballots:

Busti - William T. Burk, who is running on the Democratic Party line, against Todd M. Hanson, who is running on the Republican Party line, for town council.

Carroll - Patty S. Ekstrom, who is running on the Democratic Party line, against Harold W. Whitford Jr., who is running on the Republican and Conservative party lines, for town council.

Celoron - Richard P. Kogut and Robin A. Young are both running unopposed on the Democratic and Republican party lines for village trustee.

Charlotte - Mark LeBaron is running unopposed on the Democratic, Republican and Conservative party lines for town highway superintendent.

Cherry Creek - Town Tax Collector is up for election, but no names appear on the ballot. An eligible write-in candidate will win the position.

Town of Dunkirk - Robert N. Hubbard is running unopposed on the Republican and Conservative party lines for town justice.

Harmony - William A. Lawson is running unopposed on the Republican Party line for town supervisor. Peter J. Radka is running unopposed on the Republican Party line for town council.

North Harmony - Howard E. Peacock is running unopposed on the Republican Party line for town justice.

Pomfret - David L. Penharlow is running unopposed on the Republican and Conservative party lines for town council.

Ripley - Levern Gibson is running unopposed on the Democratic Party line for town justice. Andrew Knight is running unopposed on the Democratic and Republican party lines for town council. There will also be a proposition on whether $28,160, should be raised through property taxes for the Ripley Free Library Association for maintenance.
