Falconer Seniors To Meet Monday

Falconer Senior Citizens will meet for a Halloween party at 1 p.m. Monday. Cider, doughnuts and coffee will be served. Members attending are encouraged to dress in costume. The Nov. 19 meeting will feature homemade pies, and the Dec. 17 meeting will be a Christmas dinner party. Thirty seniors attended a surprise birthday to celebrate birthdays for the year. Bingo was played. Ann Moren, president, opened the meeting with a flag salute and prayer. Officers elected to serve last year will continue. Connie Storms closed the meeting.

Warren Library To Hold Clearance Sale

The annual Warren Public Library clearance sale will be held in the Slater Room, 310 Market St., Warren, Pa., Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7:45 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Co-chairs Celia Knapp and Karen Roseborough note there is something for all ages and interests. Items can be purchased for home and family entertainment for 50 cents to $1. Thousands of soft- and hard-covered books are arranged by interests such as - popular author fiction and non-fiction books, historical, religion, psychology, technical, do it yourself, cookbooks, etc. The library volunteers also organize the adult and children audio books, music CDs, DVDs, videos, plus trade papers. A door prize gift basket will be available.
