Jake Brown was the top finisher at Falconer last Tuesday, touring the 3.1-mile course in 17:52. On Saturday, he took first place as he pulled away from the field in the last half mile to win by 13 seconds at the Dunkirk Invitational.

Rebecca King, who runs for Sherman, finished second overall out of 49 runners in the girls Small School race at the Cuba-Rushford Invitational on Saturday. Her time was 20:52.20, which helped Sherman easily claim the team title.
