Philomel Club To Host Mozart Club Wednesday

The Philomel Club of Warren, Pa. will entertain the Mozart Club of Jamestown on Wednesday at the Sheldon House.

This is an annual exchange of the two clubs. The program starts at 1:30 p.m. with coffee to follow at 2:30. Reservations should be made by Monday to Lois Larson, Nancy Wilson or Paula Daneshkhah.

At the last meeting of Mozart Multiple Interest held at the chapel at First Presbyterian Church a program was performed.

"Honoring the Legacy," consisted of music and poetry from the American Experience - consisting of Negro spirituals including "Balm in Gilead," "Kum Ba Yah, My Lord," "Nobody Knows De Trouble I See," "Swing Low Sweet Chariot," "Deep River," "Oh, Wasn't Dat A Wide Ribber," "Every Time I Feel The Spirit," and others. A standing ovation was given the three of them at the conclusion of their moving program.
