SHERMAN - Sherman (5-5, 6-8) took the early lead, but Maple Grove responded as the Lady Red Dragons (3-6, 5-10) recorded a 3-2 non-league girls volleyball win.
The Lady Wildcats took the first two games, 25-23 and 25-16, but Maple Grove came back to take the final three, 25-19, 25-17 and 25-14.
For the winners, Nickara Liddell produced 20 kills, two blocks, seven digs and an ace, Jessie Babbage added seven kills, 15 digs and two aces and Sierra Speranza delivered 12 assists, 16 digs and an ace.
Elle Reed led Sherman with 21 kills, eight aces, six digs and a block while Danielle Reed had 12 assists, two kills, two blocks and two aces.
Maple Grove also won the junior varsity in three games.
