Kara Schutte accounted for 11 assists, nine digs and four aces and Sally Rudny added seven kills, two blocks and Maddy Alexander 12 assists, seven kills, two blocks and six digs as Southwestern (5-4, 9-4) defeated Jamestown (2-9, 2-10) in Division 1 girls volleyball.
Karley Carlson had seven kills, a block and an ace in the win.
For Jamestown, Haley Jones delivered eight kills, Kaitlyn Haines seven kills, three block and five digs, Ashley Butman nine digs and three aces and Emily Kuropatwinski 24 assists and two aces.
Southwestern took the junior varsity match, 25-14, 20-25, 25-14.
GOWANDA WINS
FALCONER - Jen Stebbins had eight kills, two aces and eight digs and C. J. Sawatis 22 assists, seven digs and a block as Gowanda (7-3, 8-4) upset Falconer (8-1, 9-4), 25-23, 19-25, 25-16, 25-23.
Markie John delivered six aces and four blocks and Breann John eight digs and three blocks in the win.
No information was available for Falconer except that the jayvees won the junior varsity match in three games.
