Jamestown Music Group Competing In National Contest

October 13, 2012
By Dusten Rader (drader@post-journal.com) , The Post-Journal

Jamestown's hip-hop and R&B group A Family of Notes is currently in 14th place out of 460 contestants in a national competition called "Making The Next Hit."

The top 17 remaining groups have a single listed on MTNH.US under the "Music" link. In order to qualify for the finals the group must remain in the top 16. To do so the group needs votes for their song "The Next Hit."

Voting remains open through Wednesday and the finals will be announced on Friday. Those interested in voting will need to visit MTNH.US and click the link in the upper right hand corner of the site where it says vote. Each vote is $2 with funds going toward a job-creating foundation and band marketing, and gives the group 50 points. There is no limit on the number of votes individuals can submit.
