Basil and Ann Spitale celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at Webb's Captain Table. They are the parents of George (Mary) Spitale of Jamestown, N.Y., and Carl (Delores) and Peter Spitale, of Palm Beach, Fla. They also have six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
They were married Sept. 7, 1942, at St. James Church. Anthony Conti was best man, and Gertrude Spitale was maid of honor.
Spitale is retired from Marlin Rockwell. Mrs. Spitale is retired from Period Brass.
