Firemen from Ashville, Bemus Point, Panama, Busti, Lakewood, Ellington, Ellery Center and the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office were on scene around 1 p.m. to battle the fully engulfed house fire on Butts Road near Stoneledge Road.
According to Ashville Fire Department's fire chief Charles Rugg, heavy fire was found on the outside of the upstairs of the house. No residents were home while the fire was extinguished, and no one was hurt, he said.

"The big thing was all the mutual aid from the departments, without them we couldn't have gotten this done," said Rugg.
