The St. Nicholas Orthodox Church Ladies Erene Society met Oct. 4. The meeting was hosted by Helen Vulgaris.
The group also held a fall rummage and bake sale on Oct. 5 and 6.
Athena Constantine presided and served refreshments at the Sept. 5 meeting. Committees were thanked for their work on the annual picnic in July in the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club. Donations were made to habitat for Humanity, Covenant House, American Institute for Cancer Research, Toothbrush for Troops (Adopt a Platoon), International Orthodox Christian Charities, St. Labia Indian School and the March of Dimes. Celebrating birthdays were Virginia Cummings, Norma O'Kelley, Ms. Marano, Stephanie Lampropolas, Ms. Dimitri, Ms. Constantine and Helen Bruner.
At the June meeting, current officers were reelected. They are Ms. Constantine, president; Nancy Marano, vice president; Violet Kianos, treasurer; Athena Dimitri, secretary; and Christina Anderson, corresponding secretary.
