James R. "Jimmy" Row-ey, 53, formerly of Jamestown, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, in the Buffalo Veterans Administration Hospital.
He was born Dec. 31, 1958, in Jamestown, the son of the late William and Margaret DeFrisco Rowley Sr.
Jimmy was a graduate of Jamestown High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1977 to 1979.
Surviving are a son, James R. Rowley Jr. of Conewango Valley, N.Y.; a brother, William H. Rowley Jr. and a sister, Sandra Hoch, both of Jamestown; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
The funeral service with military honors will be held at 7 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Burial will be in Soldiers Circle at Lake View Cemetery.
