WEST VALLEY - Sherman improved its Division 3 volleyball record to 5-4 and 6-6 overall after breaking a tie in game five to defeat West Valley, 3-2, on Tuesday.
The Lady Wildcats won games one and two, 25-17 and 25-15, but West Valley (2-10) bounced back to take the third and fourth games, 25-11 and 25-23, before Sherman closed things out in the final game, 25-23.
For the winners, Elle Reed had 16 kills and Danielle Reed collected 10 assists.
Lisa Reed had six kills for West Valley.
Sherman also won the jayvee match.
HORNETS WIN AGAIN
FORESTVILLE - Sydney Youngberg produced 11 kills, five aces and a block as Forestville (7-2, 10-2) swept Westfield, 25-17, 25-6 and 25-9.
Also for the Lady Hornets, Cherish Pope added six kills, four digs and two aces, Emily Gilman had seven kills and an ace, Ryanne Dugan contributed 23 assists, three digs, one kill and one ace, and Alisha Szumigala had four kills and a block.
Forestville also was a 2-1 winner over Westfield in jayvee action.
