Muriel Jean Wilson

Muriel Jean Wilson, 85, of Memory Garden, 560 Fairmount Ave. WE, form-erly of Garfield Road, Jamestown, passed away at 8:36 a.m. Monday (Oct. 8, 2012) in WCA Hospital.

A lifelong area resident, she was born Jan. 5, 1927, in Jamestown, N.Y., a daughter of the late Vin-cent and Della Kofod Loop.

She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to taking care of her family.

Surviving are a son, Jef-frey (Pam) Wilson of Lake-wood, N.Y.; three daughters: Debra (Larry) Ammons of Mt. Laurel, N.J, Julie (Thomas) Brown of Lakewood, N.Y., and Carrie (Greg) Edwards of James-town, N.Y.; 11 grandchil-dren; and 16 great- grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph A. Wil-son, whom she married Sept. 19, 1944, and who died Jan. 5, 2011; a son, Terry M. Wilson; a sister, Gladys Currie; and a broth-er, Vincent Loop Jr.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family in the Lind Fun-eral Home. The Rev. Steven Taylor, pastor of the Pana-ma United Methodist Church, will officiate. Buri-al will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Chautauqua County, 20 W. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, NY 14750.
