VFW Post 557 Ladies Auxiliary To Meet

The VFW Post 557 Ladies Auxiliary will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday. A collection of nonperishable food will be collected for the food bank.

JHS Class Of 1944 To Reunite Oct. 26

The Jamestown High School Class of 1944 will meet for a 68th reunion and lunch at noon on Oct. 26 in Moon Brook Country Club. Reservations are required; call 763-4005.

Poland Seniors To Have Potluck Lunch

Town of Poland Seniors will meet for a potluck lunch on Oct. 17 in the Kennedy Fire Hall. All those attending should take a dish to pass and their table service. Cliff and Liz Barnes, Clayton and Barbara Brown and Mary Hilliman will be the committee. Entertainment will be a Halloween party, hosted by Bonnie Piazza and Julie Heilman. Forty-six members met recently in the fire hall. Bob and Sally Canniff, Ms. Piazza, Rosemarie Cornell, David and Dee Covey were the committee. Ms. Heilman led table grace, and tables were called by Bob Cross. Roland Swanson opened the meeting with a flag salute and song, accompanied on piano by Lou Ball. Reports by the secretary and treasurer were read. Celebrating birthdays were Lois Chapman, Jeanette Olson, Mary Walker and Beverley Wilson. George and Bev Littlefield observed their 56 wedding anniversary. Ms. Canniff spoke on the Oct. 2 trip. Verna Feathers spoke and presented a slide show on her trip to Australia and Tasmania.
