Southwestern remained tied with Olean for first place in Division 1 boys soccer on Thursday evening.
The Trojans got goals from Tanner Hoose and Ross Beresford in defeating visiting Westfield, 2-0, to tie Olean with 6-0-1 league records.
Hoose got his ninth goal of the season from Tristan Desnerck at 25:15 of the first half for a 1-0 lead for Southwestern, now 9-1-2 overall.

The game stayed that way until 3:17 of the second half when Beresford tallied his 11th goal of the year for the Trojans.
Eric Priester was flawless in net in gaining his eighth shutout of the fall with five saves.
Goalie Ty Bentham stopped 12 shots for Westfield (1-6, 5-6).
YOUNG SCORES WINNER
OLEAN - Collin Young scored with only 42 seconds left in lifting Olean (6-0-1, 10-1-1) to a 1-0 win over Fredonia (5-3, 6-5).
Geoffrey Broadbent recorded an assist on Young's tally.
Alex Austin of Olean recorded his eighth shutout of the season with just one save.
Nick Hart of Fredonia made four saves.
FALCONER, DUNKIRK TIE
FALCONER - The game was the tale of two halves with Falconer scoring twice in the first half and Dunkirk tallying twice in the second half for a 2-2 double-overtime tie.
R.J. Keith and Andrew Beckerink put Falconer ahead, 2-0, in the first half.
Alex Crossan and Alec Tomaszewski had the goals for Dunkirk in the second half.
MILLER HAS HAT TRICK
PORTVILLE - Kody Miller had three goals as Portville (3-5-1, 3-7-1) shut out Silver Creek (3-5-1), 7-0.
Miller scored two goals in the first half and added one in the second half when Portville scored five times.
Other than Miller, Alex Carr recorded two goals, Brady Stein and Cody North one in the victory.
Josh Watson was the winning goalie with three saves.
DIVISION 3
DRAGONS WIN AGAIN
Seven different plays scored in Maple Grove's 7-1 victory over Franklinville .
Erik Olson led the way with a goal and an a pair of assists, while Jesse Pardue, David Meekins, Patrick Crossley, Nick Swanson, Nick Hutchinson and Zach Arnold also scored.
Riley Beaton assisted on the goals by Pardue and Meekins and Andy Farnham picked up two assists off the goals by Hutchinson and Arnold.
Maple Grove led 5-0 at halftime.
Kyle Richardson and Beaton split time in the nets for the winners.
The Red Dragons' (11-0-1, 8-0) next game is a crucial one at North Collins (9-1-0, 8-1-0) on Tuesday.
T'BIRDS FALL
MAYVILLE - North Collins took care of host Chautauqua Lake, 3-1.
North Collins (8-1), built a 2-0 lead in the opening half behind goals from Jordan Kokeough, assisted by Jared Keppel, and Connor Renaldo. Then, at the 46th minute, Keppel tallied the Eagles' third and final goal.
Sam Snyder scored on a free kick with 20 minutes remaining to help the Thunderbirds (3-6) avoid the shutout.
Kyle Loretto made eight saves for the winners while James Latimer stopped 17 shots in defeat.
BEARS WIN
WEST VALLEY - Paced by Derek Smith's two goals, Frewsburg posted a 4-0 win over West Valley.
Frewsburg scored three goals in the first half with Smith scoring the first from Jesse Ernewein at 25:20.
Alex Elderkin tallied from Brett Johnson at 10:35 and Smith recorded a goal from Tyrel Adelgren at 9:59.
In the second half, Johnson recorded a goal with a minute left on an assist from Adelgren.
Jordan Lynn made 15 saves in the Frewsburg net and Mike Grisby had 20 saves for West Valley.
ECIC DIV. 1
RAIDERS FALL
WEST SENECA - Despite taking the early lead, Jamestown surrendered a pair of goals in the final seven minutes of play to lose to West Seneca West, 2-1.
Nolan Wells, assisted by Alex Lee Yaw, put the Red Raiders (2-8) ahead 1-0 at the five-minute mark and Jamestown held that lead for the next 68 minutes before allowing West Seneca West (6-5) to score the equalizer with seven minutes left and the go-ahead three minutes later.
Liam Kulakowski made seven saves in the loss.
