CLYMER - Robert Anthony Taglianetti II, the Virginia man that was named as a suspect in the murder of Keith Reed Jr., may have tried to find the Clymer Central School superintendent at his office before going to his home according to law enforcement officials.

Ed Bailey, acting superintendent and principal of Clymer Central School, said that a man fitting the description of Taglianetti came to the school on Friday.

Just hours before Keith Reed Jr. was murdered, a man came to Clymer Central School asking for an application to be a substitute teacher. After being given the form, the man then asked to speak to the superintendent.

According to Bailey, the incident was reported to the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office almost immediately after information about Reed's murder began to surface.

Chautauqua County Sheriff Joe Gerace also confirmed that the information regarding Taglianetti possibly visiting the school was brought to the Sheriff's Office very early in the investigation. Based on images taken from security cameras at the school, Gerace said that they believe that the visitor was indeed Taglianetti.

"I'm thankful nothing happened at the school, but we do have emergency contingency plans in case something does," Gerace said. "I'm just glad we didn't have to use them in this case."

"There was really no worry that (Taglianetti) would come back to the school," said Bailey. "The Sheriff's Office assured us that the school was safe and that the person that they were interested in was no longer in the area."

Taglianetti is currently being held in a Prince William County, Va. jail. awaiting his next court appearance.
