DUNKIRK - The Lake Erie NY Chapter 4 of the Blue Star Mothers will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Dunkirk VFW.
Any mothers of military past or present, or anyone wanting to support troops, are welcome to attend.
The group is looking for deployed addresses for its Christmas collections and donations for packages from the community. Anyone who has a family member or friend who will be deployed or serving overseas and not able to be home with their families at Christmas can have the soldier's name added to the list. The group is also looking for handwritten Christmas cards and letters to include with care packages.
