A Jamestown man has been taken to the Jamestown City Jail after causing damage to several properties early Sunday morning.
Brent M. Roberts, 19, of Jamestown, was charged with driving while his ability was impaired by drugs, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, reckless driving, failure to keep right, moving unsafely from a lane, third-degree criminal mischief, fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree burglary and resisting arrest at 12:17 a.m. Sunday.
According to police, officers were dispatched to 16 Dearborn St. for a vehicle that had hit a house. Once on the scene, officers learned a vehicle had also been run into at 57 Dearborn St.

Then, the same vehicle hit a house at 16 Dearborn St. According to witnesses, Roberts' vehicle traveled through the yards of several other homes before hitting the bushes and steps at 16 Dearborn St.
Roberts then allegedly got out of the vehicle, began smashing its windows and then threw an item into a nearby house before running away. Officers were able to find Roberts at 302 Charles St. after he broke into an apartment there and damaged property.
Police report finding Roberts, who police report resisted arrest. He was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
