ALFRED - Led by reigning NJCAA Division III player of the week Christina Rauh, the Jamestown Community College volleyball team defeated host Alfred State College in three straight games, 25-17, 25-22 and 25-22, in Region 3 Division III action on Wednesday night.
Rauh delivered 20 assists, four aces, four kills, eight digs and a block in the victory while teammates Brittany Brace added eight kills, six digs and two aces; Kelsey Kyser a pair of aces, six kills, three digs and two blocks; and Anna Nietupski chipped in with 19 digs, six kills, a block and an ace.
The Jayhawks, now 17-5 overall and 12-1 in conference play, will be competing against Broome CC, Corning CC and Tompkins Cortland CC in POD play on Saturday at Niagara Falls Community College. Their first match is slated for 11 a.m.
