Spooky Tales

Big Time Productions To Present ‘Nightfall With Edgar Allan Poe’

September 28, 2012
The Post-Journal

The Big Time Players are set to take the stage with Eric Coble's "Nightfall With Edgar Allan Poe," a series of spooky tales that portray the literary works of Poe in a theatrical format. The show will take place in Jamestown's newest theatrical venue, The Spire Theater, in October. The play will be sure to entertain and give insight into the mind of one of American literature's renowned authors.

The spell he weaves brings us a highly theatrical adaptation of the four tales Poe himself considered his best: "The Raven," "The Fall of the House of Usher," The Pit and the Pendulum" and "The Tell Tale Heart." Edgar Allan Poe stands alone in the flickering darkness of his mind, trying desperately to convince himself - and audiences - that he's not mad.

Attendees will enter the world of Poe and check their heartbeats at the door. The play was written by Eric Coble and is presented by Big Time Productions with special permission by Playscripts Inc.
