MAYVILLE - A benefit fund has been set up for Pam Braun Smith at Northwest Savings Bank, South Erie Street, Mayville, by the Hartfield Volunteer Fire Company to help pay Smith's medical expenses.
She was recently diagnosed with Tarlov Cysts Disease, described as dilations of nerve root sheaths containing cerebrospinal fluids. The dilations have become large enough to impinge nerves. The surgery is intricate and complex. Smith must go to Midwest Neurosurgery in Dallas, Texas, for the surgery, where Dr. Frank Feigenbaum has an expertise in the field.
