CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

NORTH HARMONY - Gregory Milne, 54, of Dewittville was charged with driving while intoxicated at 9:45 a.m. Saturday. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies received a call of a person slumped over the wheel of a car on Route 394 in the town of North Harmony. Upon arrival, Milne was discovered to be the driver and after an investigation he was charged. He will appear in Town of North Harmony Court at a later date.

ELLERY - John T. Calhoun, 37, of 6078 Old Route 17, Lot 11, Dewittville, was charged with driving while intoxicated, blood alcohol content greater than .08 percent and failure to yield the right of way following an accident at 8:04 p.m. Friday. Sheriff's deputies responded to a call for a personal-injury motor-vehicle accident on Route 430 in the town of Ellery. After an investigation it was determined that Calhoun, operator of the at-fault vehicle, was intoxicated. He was processed and released to a third party and will answer to the charges in Town of Ellery Court at a later date. The operator of the other vehicle was taken by ambulance to WCA Hospital for apparent non-life-threatening injuries.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Robert M. Porter Jr., 46, of West Ellicott was charged with felony driving while intoxicated and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation at 12:22 a.m. Saturday. Jamestown Police officers observed a Ford pickup truck swerving on the road and nearly striking several parked vehicles in the area of Weeks Street at Second Street. Officers stopped the vehicle and determined the driver, Porter, to be highly intoxicated after failing several field sobriety tests. A check of his driver's license found his privileges to be revoked for a previous DWI. Officers took Porter to Jamestown City Jail where he submitted to a chemical test. He was subsequently charged with several other vehicle and traffic violations.

SALAMANCA POLICE DEPARTMENT

A 17-year-old male was taken into custody for third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree reckless endangerment at 6:39 p.m. Thursday. The boy was held pending arraignment.

PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE

SUGAR GROVE - David Alan Miley, 26, of Sugar Grove was charged with statutory sexual assault, corruption of minors and unlawful contact with a minor Thursday. State police say Miley had sexual relationships with a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old between June 1 and July 31 of this year. He was also in possession of prohibited photographs of the 17-year-old. Miley was arraigned and taken to Warren County (Pa.) Jail in lieu of $5,000.

CONEWANGO - Jon David Gage, 48, was charged with a Megan's Law violation after failing to register. He was arraigned in district court and taken to Warren County (Pa.) Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.

DUNKIRK POLICE DEPARTMENT

Rodney Hawkins Jr., 24, of 62 E. Courtney St., Dunkirk, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance at 5 p.m. Friday. Police and Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force members say they were able to make undercover purchases of crack cocaine from Hawkins during a nine-month investigation. Officers located Hawkins as he entered a parking lot and took him into custody without incident. He is being held without bail at Dunkirk City Jail pending arraignment in Dunkirk City Court. Agents from the New York State Division of Parole assisted in the investigation and additional charges may be pending for violation of parole.
