A wanted parolee was taken into custody Friday morning and an additional charge was tacked on to his record.
At 10:45 a.m., following a months-long investigation into the illegal sales of cocaine from 51 Tower St. in Jamestown, 26-year-old Vaughn R. Grant was apprehended by Jamestown Police.
An investigation revealed that Grant, who was wanted for an outstanding parole violation may be at the residence. Information was received that Grant had cut off his monitoring bracelet and therefore was not in compliance with his parole restrictions.

JPD investigators executed a search warrant and found Grant inside the residence. He was taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail without incident. Grant was then additionally charged with criminal obstruction of breathing stemming from a Sept. 15 domestic incident. He was arraigned and taken to Chautauqua County Jail.
