The Downtown Jamestown Development Corporation recently held its annual Thunder in the Streets and Cruisin'.

Team FMX performed four times at the ninth annual Thunder in the Streets.

"This year's stunt show was just the change we here at DJDC were looking for," said Ashley Anderson, DJDC special events coordinator. "Everyone seemed to enjoy the show, and was pleased with the change. Each year we try and make the events more family friendly and this show helped in making that a success."

Marking the 20th year for the annual downtown Cruisin', there was an attendance of 210 registered vehicles that filled downtown Jamestown.

Live music was performed by the Untouchables with a special appearance from Elvis. The DJDC also hosted children's games including a costume contest won by Arnessa Owens and Annalise Rough. The yo-yo contest was won by Dylan Pratt, Haven Pratt and Nathan King. The bubble blowing contest was won by Mercedez Hunzinger, Haven Pratt and Alexis Truver. The hula hoop contest was won by Arenssa Ownes, Mattison Cockshott and Katlyn Livermore, while the jitterbug dance was won by Arnessa Owens, Joey McDaniel and Jayna Jose.

Der Kobbler's members gave out their annual award for the best hot rod, won by Jim and Janet Shilling of Waterford, Pa., with their 1932 Plymouth. RSVP also helped with volunteers.

"We would like to give a huge thank you to all of our volunteers and the Der Kobbler's for all of their help with helping to make these events possible," Anderson said. "We truly appreciate the time everyone volunteers."
