The Post-Journal

The VA Western New York Healthcare System will hold an information event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at the VA Clinic in Jamestown, 608 W. Third St., to help veterans learn about Veterans Administration health care benefits and other benefits.

Flu vaccines will be offered to Veterans at no cost enrolled in VA health care.

Veterans are welcome to attend to learn more about benefits they may have coming to them as the Department of Veterans Affairs and other counselors will be on-hand and available to answer questions. Veterans need to bring their discharge papers along with their financial information from 2011 for accurate benefits counseling. The Veterans Administration offers health care options including benefits for returning Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation New Dawn and Women's health and My HealtheVet, an online personal secure health record.

For more information call 338-1511 or visit www.buffalo.va.gov or www.facebook.com/VAWesternNY.
