Theta Beta Chapter To Meet Thursday

SHERMAN - Theta Beta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi International held the beginning meeting of the new year at the home of Diane Brosius in Sherman recently.

Joyce Anderson, president, presided over the meeting. Co-hostesses for the evening meeting were Rose VanVolkenburg and Joyce Anderson.

Diane Brosius gave the program on "Our Chapter Remembers Summer." The members each gave their memories and highlights of summer and their activities.

A letter was read from the Salvation Army thanking the members for their contributions to the Salvation Army's Agnes Home domestic violence shelter. A thank you note was also read from Emily Bukowski of Mayville who received the chapter's art award given in memory of its sponsor, Daphna Peterson.

A discussion was held during the business meeting on the sorority's service projects for the coming year. The chapter will continue to give to the Agnes Home and Christmas gifts will be purchased for the CASA foster children and aid will be given to local food pantries. After a discussion about our Secret Sisters, the meeting was adjourned.

The next meeting will be Thursday at the home of Sandra Zenns in Mayville.
