Josephine A. Conti, 79, of 518 W. Falconer St., Fal-coner, passed away Sunday (Sept. 16, 2012), in her home.
A lifelong area resident, she was born Dec. 2, 1932, in Jamestown, the daughter of the late James and Car-mella Russo Tuccio.
Josephine was a graduate of Jamestown High School, and in earlier years, was employed by Landers Men's Store and J.R. Gen-try Men's Shop. Prior to retirement in 2008, she was employed by Accredited Care.

She was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church and was a former member of the Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church Council. Josephine was also a member of the Catholic Youth Organiza-tion and Lakewood Rod and Gun Club.
Josephine enjoyed danc-ing, cooking for her family and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her hus-band, Russell M. Conti, whom she married Sept. 27, 1952, in St. James Catholic Church, Jamestown; a daughter Josephine "Josie" (Mark) Weed of Falconer; a son, Russell A. (Cheri) Conti of Falconer; four grandchildren: Christina Weed, Russell J. (Katie) Conti, Robert M. (Mindy) Conti, John Weed; four great-grandchildren: Justin Ellsworth, Joshua Weed, Mina Weed and Ethan Conti; a brother, Anthony (Julie) Tuccio of Jamestown; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Nicole Lynn Weed, who died Sept. 22, 1978; and two brothers: Louis Tuccio and Joseph Tuccio.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church, Falconer. The Rev. Joseph Janaczek, pastor of the church, will be cele-brant. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Friends will be received by the family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Falconer Funeral Home. The Altar and Rosary So-ciety of OLL will conduct a rosary service at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. A Christian Wake service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the fun-eral home.
