Parolee Caught With Cocaine

A Jamestown man has been taken to the Chautauqua County Jail after a parole check Tuesday.

Jensen L. Vasquez, 26, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday. According to police, Jamestown police officers helped New York State Parole officers at 225 Weeks St. with a check of a parolee's residence. During the check, powder cocaine was found in the residence. Officers were then able to obtain a search warrant for the home in order to search for additional contraband materials.

Investigators found a total of 18 grams of powder cocaine in the search. Vasquez was charged and also faces a violation of his parole conditions. Vasquez was taken to the city jail, arraigned in Jamestown City Court and then taken to the Chautauqua County Jail.
