JAMESTOWN POLICE
Dianne M. Francis, 71, of Bokeelie, Fla., was charged with failure to keep right, speeding, refusal to take a breath test and driving while intoxicated at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. She was taken to the city jail and will be arraigned in the Jamestown City Court. Francis will also appear at a DMV hearing later.
Jayson Sanchez, 32, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, unlawful possession of marijuana and being a fugitive from justice. He was transported to the city jail and is being held pending extradition to Pennsylvania, where he had a valid parole warrant.
Hector L. Gonzalez Jr., 38, of Jamestown, was charged with tampering with physical evidence, unlawful possession of marijuana and an arrest warrant for third-degree assault at 7:18 p.m. Tuesday. He was held pending arraignment.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE
John A. Surber, of Jamestown, was charged with petit larceny at 6:03 p.m. Tuesday. According to police, officers received a call from Wal-Mart loss prevention about a shop lifting in progress. When officers arrived, Surber was taken into custody without incident. He is due back in court later.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
CHERRY CREEK - Terri J. Cartalano,50, of Cattaraugus, was charged with driving while intoxicated at 2 a.m. Wednesday. According to a police report, deputies were dispatched to an unwanted subject at a residence in the Town of Cherry Creek. As patrol was responding, they were informed that the subject had left in a black Dodge Neon. The vehicle was found and stopped, and following a roadside investigation, Cartalano was charged with DWI. She was released with appearance tickets to be in court later.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
LITTLE VALLEY - Jamie Jablonowski, 19, of Little Valley, was charged with fifth-degree welfare fraud, petit larceny and misuse of food stamps at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday. She was issued an appearance ticket for the charges and will be in court later.
OLEAN - Snapper Woods, 31, and Merry Woods, 29, both of Olean, were charged with fifth-degree welfare fraud, petit larceny and two counts of first-degree offering a false instrument for filing. Both were issued appearance tickets to be in court later. According to a police report, the subjects received $540 in cash assistance and food stamps that their family was not entitled to.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
ELLERY - Keith C. Darling, 33, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree harassment.
ELLICOTT - Randall A. Rothwell, 23, of Mayville, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday. He was issued an appearance ticket for the charge.
ELLICOTT - William C. Haley, 50, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday. he was issued an appearance ticket for the charge.
