Marie G. Fredrick, 83, of 56 Collins Ave., died at 11:11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, in her home.
She was the widow of Samuel J. Fredrick, whom she married June 4, 1949, and who died Aug, 19, 1997.
Marie was born July 6, 1929, in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth 'Lucy' Manuelle Schiavone, and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1948.

A member of Ss Peter & Paul Church, she had been employed by Heritage Park Rehab & Skilled Nursing from 1984 to 1992.
Marie will be remem-bered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed crocheting, baking, talking with her friends on the telephone and loved playing the or-gan.
Surviving are two sons: James L. Fredrick of James-town, and Robert L. (Janet) Fredrick of Bemus Point; two grandsons: Jason R. (Edward) Fredrick and Matthew J. (Lindsey) Sta-ples, both of Jamestown; a great-grandson, Andrew Staples of Jamestown; a sis-ter, Patricia Ceresa of Erie, PA.; several nieces and nephews; and her pet dog and constant companion, Gina.
In addition to her hus-band and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Schiavone who died in 2000.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in Holy Apostles Parish, Ss Peter & Paul Church. The Rev. Dennis W. Mende, will be celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Fun-eral Home, where a Chris-tian Wake Service will be held at 1:45 p.m.
Marie's family is most thankful for the loving at-tention given by all the caregivers from Hospice, especially Patty Fuller. The family is also thankful for the services and care pro-vided by Angel's In-Home Care and her staff: Angel Rodriguez, Carol Proestler, Vicky Haskell, Julia Haskell, Mary Jo Caldwell, and Lauri Caldwell.
