STOCKTON -An elderly Stockton man has been charged with sexual abuse of two young girls.

On Tuesday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office charged Samuel L. Hoard, 78, of Parcell Road, Stockton, with two counts of first-degree criminal sexual abuse.

It is alleged Hoard sexually abused two 8-year-old girls at night from July 30 through Aug. 3. After a joint investigation of Child Protection Services, the Sheriff's Office, the District Attorney's office and New York State Police, an arrest warrant was issued by Justice David Narducci of Chautauqua Town Court.

Hoard was arrested at his residence without incident. He was arraigned by Justice Narducci and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu $15,000 cash or $30,000 property bond. The Child Advocacy Program of Chautauqua County assisted with the investigation.
