JAMESTOWN POLICE

David R. Lesak, of Jamestown, was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, second-degree criminal contempt, second-degree menacing, second-degree aggravated harassment and obstruction of governmental administration at 8:30 p.m. Sunday. According to police, officers were dispatched to 124 Barrows St. for a man threatening a woman with a stick. Officers spoke with the woman, who told them Lesak had threatened her with a stick and ran away before police arrived. He was found behind 458 Allen St. and taken into custody. Lesak was taken to the city jail without incident until he could be arraigned.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

NORTH HARMONY - Melissa A. Johnson, 39, of Ashville, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief at 1:30 a.m. Monday. According to police, an investigation concluded that Johnson allegedly slashed two tires on another person's vehicle. She will be in court later.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

FRENCH CREEK - Adam L. Nichols, 22, of Spartansburg, Pa., was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana at 7 p.m. Saturday. He will be in court later.

CHAUTAUQUA - Matthew J. Fowler, 37, of Ripley, was charged with third-degree assault and acting in a manner injurious to a child under the age of seventeen at 8:25 p.m. Sunday.
