Drug Bust Nabs Two

City Men Charged With Possession Of Cocaine

Two city men are in custody after a pair of Friday morning drug raids.

Lamar Spencer, 29, was apprehended after Jamestown police executed a search warrant at 613 E. Sixth St. at 9:30 a.m. Officers seized over a half-ounce of crack cocaine in the search along with a quantity of cash after an investigation revealed the drugs were being sold from the residence. Spencer was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to Jamestown City Jail where he is awaiting arraignment on the charges.

At 11:15 a.m., officers executed another warrant at 100 Elam Ave. and John R. Anzalone, 39, was consequently charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana and criminal use of drug paraphernalia. Investigators seized more than a half-ounce of powder cocaine along with a quantity of marijuana and cash after an investigation revealed that the location was being used for the distribution of cocaine. Anzalone was taken to Jamestown City Jail where he awaits arraignment.

Both of the investigations are continuing and additional suspects are expected to be charged.

The Jamestown Police Department was assisted by the New York State Community Narcotics Enforcement Team in the investigations.
