Music Festival Begins Saturday

EAST OTTO - Griffis Sculpture Park, part of the Ashford Hollow Foundation, will host Slyfest 7 featuring a live music festival on Saturday from noon to sunset plus drumming, dancing and art workshops today from 2 p.m. to sunset. Admission is $10 per day; free for kids age 12 and under. Proceeds will benefit the Ashford Hollow Foundation and the Slyboots School of Music and Art. For more information visit griffispark.org.

Blood Drives Scheduled

The American Red Cross will host several blood donation drives in the area, including 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday at Eason Hall in Westfield; noon to 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17 at Blessed Mary Angela Roman Catholic Church in Dunkirk; noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, at First United Church in Silver Creek; 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, at the Sheridan VFW post; and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Neuva Vida Covenant Church, Jamestown. The Fralick Donation Center is open every Wednesday and Thursday from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. and is located in the Red Cross office, 325 E. Fourth St., Jamestown.

Carroll Seniors To Meet Sept. 17

CARROLL - The Carroll Senior Citizens will meet at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, at the Frewsburg American Legion for a soup and sandwich luncheon. The cost is $5 per member and reservations need to be made by calling Mary Hims at 569-6110 before Wednesday. A regular meeting will follow. Thirty-eight members attended the chicken barbeque held in August.

Cemetery Meeting Set For Monday

SINCLAIRVILLE - The annual lot owners' meeting of the Sinclairville Evergreen Cemetery will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, at the village hall. Two trustee positions will be elected.

Rustic Ramblers To Play Tonight

The Lakewood American Legion will host the Rustic Ramblers from 7 to 11 p.m. tonight. Dinners are served from 5 to 9 p.m. Members and guests are welcome.

Drawing Demo Set For Saturday

SINCLAIRVILLE - David Earl Miller, local artist, will present Chalk Talk, a drawing demonstration, at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Sinclairville Free Library. His paintings will also be on display. Fall/winter library hours have begun. The library will be open from 2 to 8 p.m. each Monday; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesdays; 4 to 8 p.m. Thursdays; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays. Salamanca IDA Postpones Meeting

The Salamanca Industrial Development Agency board of directors meeting scheduled for Tuesday has been postponed. The next regularly scheduled meeting is set for Tuesday, Oct. 9.
