Crestline Vila Housing Has Paid Its Due

September 6, 2012
The Post-Journal

To the Readers' Forum:

In a recent Post Journal article, Mayor Sam Teresi was quoted as saying that Crestline Villa housing was a not for profit entity and should be paying money to the city in lieu of property taxes.

Nothing can be further from the truth.

Crestline Villa Housing, since its inception in July 1983, has paid millions of dollars in real estate taxes. For the year 2011, Crestline Villa paid $122,771 in real estate taxes. Crestline Villa Housing is not a not for profit entity and over the years have fulfilled its civic duty.
