PORTVILLE - A Cuba man is in stable condition after a two-vehicle accident in Portville on Saturday.

Timothy R. Minns Jr., 32, of Cuba was driving a 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle when he collided with a 1995 Chevy Tahoe being driven by Ross P. McKinley, 28, of Portville. According to police, Minns was attempting to make a left-hand turn onto Linn Road when he struck McKinley's vehicle. Minns was ejected off of his motorcycle and had severe lacerations to his neck and shoulder area. He was unresponsive when responding officers and EMS arrived at the scene.

Minns was transported by Mercy Flight to ECMC in critical condition. He was later updated to stable condition but is currently in a coma. McKinley received a minor laceration to his arm and was treated and released.

The Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office Accident Reconstruction Team was called to scene to investigate the accident. At this time, the investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
