CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

NORTH HARMONY - Michael S. Brown, 42, of Ashville was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and moving from lane unsafely after an accident Saturday morning at 2:10 a.m. Sheriff's deputies observed an eastbound vehicle on Route 394 veer into the ditch. Brown was identified as the operator and following an investigation, was taken into custody. He was released to appear in Town of North Harmony Court at a later date.

HANOVER - David Adams, 63, of Hanover Road, Forestville was charged with failure to yield the right of way after a personal-injury accident at 5 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Route 39 and Hanover Road. Sheriff's deputies responded to a call for an accident involving a tractor-trailer and a car. Upon arrival it was determined that Adams was operating the truck without a trailer, entered the intersection and failed to yield the right of way to a car driving east on Route 39. A woman and a child from Bliss, N.Y. were traveling in the car with which Adams collided. The victims were taken to Lake Shore Hospital by Forestville emergency personnel with minor injuries and Adams was issued a ticket. He will appear in Town of Hanover Court at a later date.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

BUSTI - Brian D. Sutton of Youngsville, Pa. was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and failure to keep right at 2:30 a.m. Saturday. Lakewood-Busti police observed a white Ford pickup driving southbound on Big Tree Road in Busti. The vehicle crossed into the northbound lane and was stopped by police. Following an investigation, Sutton was determined to be the driver and placed in custody. He will appear in Town of Busti Court at a later date.
