LAKEWOOD - The Captains Dinner for the 25th annual Battle of the Businesses was held Thursday at the Diamond Cafe in Lakewood. Representatives from sponsors Windstream Communications and BlueCross BlueShield attended the gathering with team leaders from the 39 businesses/organizations taking part in this year's event. The competition begins Saturday, Sept. 8 with a softball tournament and concludes Saturday, Sept. 15 with events at Camp Onyahsa in Dewittville.
