Marjory C. Diehl turned 92 on Aug. 26. She had an unusual school upbringing. Her father traveled, spending about six months at a time in various cities and towns, so Marjory and her mother went with him. She attended 13 schools between kindergarten and ninth grade but settled long enough for high school at Paseo High in Kansas City, Mo.
Marjory graduated with honors, the highest ranking female in her class. She married the following winter in 1939, and had a daughter, Lee Anne, in 1941.
Marjory lives on Route 20 in Brocton with two cats, a Yorkshire terrier, three goldfish, four Koi and a jungle of garden. She moved to the area from Oklahoma City 11 years ago.
