Alan P. Tornstrom, 64, of 1442 Peck Settlement Road Jamestown, died Saturday Aug. 25, 2012 in his home.
He was born March 13, 1948, in Jamestown, the son of the late Jean T. Tornstrom.
Alan was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1967 until 1971. He had been employed at the former AVM Corp., and Anderson's Farm. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was an avid collector.
Surviving are his son, Alan of Puerto Rico; daughter, Mary Lynn of Charlotte, N.C.; four grandchildren; and an uncle, Burton Tornstrom of Fairport, N.Y.
He was preceded in death by his mother on June 9, 2010; and his grandparents, Carl and Bertha Tornstrom.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday Sept. 1, 2012, in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Daniel S. Rumfelt will officiate.
Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service Saturday in the funeral home.
