On Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, Joyce L. Johnson left to join the other angels. She passed with all her fam-ily and loved ones around her at her Cassadaga home.
Joyce was born on Sept. 21, 1931, on the family farm in Cassadaga. She was a lifetime resident of Chau-tuaqua County.
Joyce left behind her loving husband of 62 years, Richard K. Johnson; a son, Richard K. Johnson Jr. (April); and a daughter, Kathie D. Chaffee (Bion). She is also survived by her grandsons: Kenneth R. Johnson (Jason), Christo-pher D. Johnson and Jonathan L. Easton (Cather-ine); her granddaughter, Shari J. Robbins (Keith); and her great-grandchil-dren: Brenden C. and MacKenzie N. Robbins, Chelsea M. Johnson (Renee) and Donald H. Eas-ton. Surviving also are her brothers: Donald Bemus and Gilbert Bemus; her sis-ter, Jean Stubbs; and many nieces and nephews.

Joyce is predeceased by her mother, Cecil Bemus; her father, Louis Bemus; and her brother, Louis Bemus. Joyce will be forev-er missed by her family and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Friends may call today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the LARSON-TIMKO FUNERAL HOME, 20 Cen-tral Ave., Fredonia, where a funeral service will be held Friday morning at 10 a.m. Interment will be in the Cassadaga Cemetery.
