The Post-Journal

The Jamestown Police Department is asking for the public's help finding a vehicle that may have been involved in a drive-by shooting Tuesday.

According to a police report, officers were called to Chandler Street in Jamestown at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday after several residents heard what they thought were gun shots. No one was injured in the incident, but at least eight shots were fired. Upon arrival, officers found shell casings from a gun in the street.

No one was hit by any of the shots and investigators don't know who the shooters were trying to hit. Surveillance cameras in the area did capture a vehicle that was driving through the area that appears to be a four-door SUV. Investigators are looking to identify and speak with the occupants of the vehicle.
