JPS?Announces Schedule

Jamestown Public Schools will open for all students on Sept. 4.

If a child with a disability needs to be registered, stop in the Pupil Personnel Services Office at the Administration Building at 197 Martin Road.

The first day for elementary students will be a half-day. Elementary school start time is 8:20 a.m., and students arriving after 8:30 will be marked tardy. Dismissal is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. The first full day for elementary students will be Sept. 5. Dismissal time will be 3 p.m. The first day of UPK for all JPS UPK students is Sept. 5.

Middle school students will report for a full day of school on Sept. 4. The school day will start at 8:30 a.m. and dismiss at 3:05 p.m.

Jamestown High School students should report to their homerooms on Sept. 4, by 8 a.m. There will be a full day of classes with a modified schedule to accommodate class meetings.

Students new to the building will receive their homeroom assignments at freshmen orientation on Wednesday. Those who did not receive a homeroom assignment can call the guidance office at 483-4358 or look at the homeroom lists posted around the school on the first day. School will be dismissed at 3 p.m.

Breakfast programs will begin on first day of school and interested students should report to their school at the appropriate times. Bus service will begin on Sept. 4. Afterschool programming for middle school students will begin on Sept. 4 and elementary school afterschool programming will begin on Sept. 5.
