Opal Swanson Harless, 90, of Clinton, Tenn., went to Jesus on Sunday, July 22, 2012.
Opal was born in Union County, Tenn., on Nov. 28, 1921, to Jesse and Nerva Harless.
In addition to her parents, Opal was preceded in death by her husband, Richard H. Swanson; sister, Dorthy Sims; brother, Richard Hillard Harless; and great-grandson, Jesse Swanson.

Surviving are her children: Richard C. Swanson and Mary Lou Johnson; stepson and stepdaughter, Buddy Nelson and Alta; grandsons: Bill and Pat (Nancy) Lindberg and Tony (Shannon) Anzalone; sister, Erma Lee (Clyde) Hill; brother, Carl (Barbara) Harless; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and special nieces and nephews and their spouses.
