"But,'' she said, "he's happy today.''
Elder, Gail Nolan, Louise Swartz and Becky Campbell had reason to smile, too, after they claimed the 26th annual Jamestown Boys & Girls Club Women's Golf Tournament by a whopping 14 shots.
Playing in a two-best-ball-of-four format, the foursome - winners of the past several JB&GC titles - fired a gross 149 to claim overall honors.

Karen Cotten, Sandy Haines, Toni Indriolo and Michelle Ognibene were the net champs after matching cards with Shirley Olson, Shirley Pearson, Marge Sickler and Blanche Swaney. Both teams shot 115. The third-place net team, which carded a 117, was comprised of Nancy Barkstrom, Sylvia Fiorello, Chris Powers and Elaine Rink.
