GERRY - The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office is investigating an early Sunday morning accident on Route 60 in Gerry.

At 1:30 a.m., a motorcycle being driven by Kris Sosinski, 48, of Dunkirk, was traveling north on Route 60 when a tractor trailer driven by Matthew Numeracki, 27, of Cheektowaga, was also being driven north on Route 60. According to investigators, while Numeracki was passing Sosinski, Sosinski made contact with the trailer, causing him to lose control of the motorcycle and crash.

Numeracki was not injured in the accident. Sosinski was taken by Gerry EMTs to WCA Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The county Accident Reconstruction Team assisted at the scene. Charges are pending.
