Randolph School Board To Meet

RANDOLPH - The Randolph Central School Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the superintendent's office to appoint a new teacher. The public is welcome to attend.

Goshen Road Reunion Is Sunday

PANAMA - The 99th annual Goshen Road picnic will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the home of Todd and Beth Smith, Goshen Road, Panama. Games and other activities are planned. Those who currently live or used to live on Goshen Road are welcome to attend. Planning for the 100th annual picnic will take place. Anyone attending should bring a dish to pass and their own table service.

Fireman's Fraternity To Meet Thursday

STOCKTON - The Chautauqua County Firemens Fraternity Inc. will be having its annual meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Velzy Building on the fraternity's property in Stockton. The meeting will include elections of the executive board and two open positions on the board of directors. Only members are allowed to cast a vote.

Falconer Park Honors Employees

FALCONER - The 20th annual Falconer Park Hero winners were presented with plaques by village Mayor David Krieg. Winners were Cooper Miller in the 11 and older division and Addison Schrader in the 10 and under division. The Park Hero competition is a summer long accumulation of points earned through various challenges and tournaments.

Leon Hometown picnic Is Saturday

LEON - The Leon Old-Fashioned Hometown Picnic will be held Saturday at the Historic Church on Route 62 at Cherry Creek Hill beginning at 2 p.m. Dinner will begin at 4:30 p.m. Guests are asked to bring a dish to pass. Hamburgers, hot dogs, lemonade, coffee, iced tea and table service will be provided. Activities include a Chinese auction, sawdust pile, three-legged races, horseshoes, water balloons, tug of war and more. There will also be a special show with Cal Baker and "Easter Lilly," a miniature horse. For more information, call Pat Bromley at 296-5709.

Ellery Concerts Continue Thursday

ELLERY - The Ellery Town Park Concert Series will feature Waterdown Jazz from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday. The public is welcome to attend.

Clymer Library?To Feature e-Readers

CLYMER - The Clymer-French Creek Free Library will be having a different type of e-reader available each month for patrons to learn about and learn how to borrow e-book from the library system. September will feature the Kindle Fire; October, the Nook color; November, the iPad ; and December, the Kindle Touch.

Ward, Barton To Perform Thursday

MAYVILLE - Bill Ward and Amanda Barton will perform Thursday for Entertainment in the Park at Lakeside Park in Mayville. They replace the previously scheduled Deuble & Vogan performance.
