Mary J. Stoller, 73, of 11 West Cowden Place, James-town, N.Y., passed away at 10:25 a.m. Thursday (Aug.16, 2012), in WCA Hospital.
A Jamestown resident for more than 40 years, she was born April 16, 1939, in Esto, Fla., a daughter of the late Vernon and Flossie Thelma Blount Sheffield.
Before her retirement, she was a clerk at the form-er G.C. Murphy Company for more than 15 years.

Mary will be remem-bered as a loving and car-ing wife and mother, who loved taking care of her home. She enjoyed spend-ing time with her family and tending to her lovely flowers. She was also an avid reader and loved her cats. She loved traveling and living in several dif-ferent cities over the years as her husband fulfilled his military service. In earlier years, she was a Sunday school teacher for the form-er United Pentecostal Church on McKinley Ave-nue.
Surviving are her hus-band of 57 years, Walter G. Stoller, whom she married July 19, 1955, in Panama City, Fla.; a daughter Ma-linda S. Stoller of James-town; a brother, James Sheffield of Esto, Fla.; and two sisters Frances Adams of Esto, Fla., and Kate Hughes of Panama City, Fla.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Howard D. Stoller, who died July 6, 2005; a sister, Bobby Jenkins; and a brother, Delbert Sheffield.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. William Blair, pastor of the New Creation Assem-bly of God Church, will of-ficiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
